A Call for the Church to Recalibrate

Last Thursday was an absolute blessing as I stood alongside my brothers and sisters in Christ during the National Day of Prayer. In a world that constantly seeks to divide, confuse, and distract people, it was powerful to witness pastors, leaders, families, and believers gathering together in unity to seek God through prayer and worship.
There is something transformative about believers coming together with sincere hearts- not for recognition, not for politics, but to humble themselves before God and pray over their communities, families, churches, and nation. The atmosphere was filled with
faith, encouragement, and a reminder that true transformation begins spiritually before it is ever seen physically.
During the evening, I had the opportunity to lead a prayer that was deeply personal to me- a prayer for the Church to recalibrate and return to the root of who we are in Christ.
My prayer centered on the importance of the Church not becoming consumed by politics, propaganda, or the pressure to water down biblical truth in order to fit secular agendas. As believers, we are called to stand firm in truth, lead with love, and remain obedient to God’s Word even when culture shifts around us.

The Church was never meant to conform to the world. We are called to transform it through faith, truth, compassion, and the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
After the prayer, I was inundated with inspiring responses from people from all different walks of life. Many shared how deeply the message resonated with them and how hungry they are to see the Church walk boldly in its purpose again. Those conversations reminded me that people are not looking for a watered-down version of faith- they are looking for truth, hope, direction, and authenticity.
I want to thank all of the pastors, leaders, and shepherds who answered the call to stand together in faith. Your willingness to lead, pray, and pour into others is making a greater impact than many may realize. Strong communities are built on strong spiritual foundations.
I also want to give a special thank you to my shepherd, father, and pastor, Pastor Gary Jackson of St. Mark Open Door Baptist Church. Your faithful leadership, wisdom, strength, and unwavering commitment to God’s people continue to inspire so many of us.

Thank you for leading with conviction, humility, and love while remaining obedient to God’s calling.
As believers, we must continue praying not only for ourselves, but for our children, our leaders, our churches, and the future of our communities. Prayer is not weakness- it is alignment with God’s will.
My prayer is that the Church continues to grow stronger in faith, unity, courage, and obedience to Christ- unafraid to stand on truth while extending grace to a world searching for answers.
“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” - Romans 12:2
May God continue to strengthen His people and guide His Church back to the fullness of its calling.
